COFFEE FOR ALL COLAB

We have an announcement to make…

The Lucy Foundation is honoured to announce an on-going collaboration series with the Department of Brewology, a USA design-oriented brand devoted to the art and science of specialty coffee. Department of Brewology will donate the proceeds of each collaboration series print to The Lucy Foundation in order to enable us to continue doing what we do.
This first piece is an 11″x17″ print on uncoated matte 14pt cardstock.  It beautifully sums up our collaboration; as we believe THE BEST COFFEE OF ALL IS COFFEE FOR ALL.

We've been so busy fundraising and sharing the TLF story that we forgot to post photos taken a couple of weeks back! This was a really neat Track 2 workshop run by Catalina Merino Varela on how to grow and harvest vegetables for eating. A key TLF focus for 2019 is not only looking after the environment, but personal health and wellbeing too.

//

An excellent write up on The Lucy Foundation in this month's issue of MiNDFOOD magazine. To help support our work, simply order your home and business coffee beans through Able Coffee Collaborative (link below). For every kg of coffee you buy, $3 is donated to our Pluma Coffee Project in Mexico... it really is that easy!

Here's to the wonderful wāhine who make The Lucy Foundation tick! Did you know 80% of our TLF crew, from Mexico to New Zealand, are women? We couldn't do it without them or our amazing tribe of wāhine supporters. On a side note, today and tomorrow Grace Stratton, Robbie Francis and Romelli Graciela are hosting a TLF stall at the Fairfield Conference (ethical trade) at AUT. If you're in Auckland you can catch Robbie presenting on the TLF story at 1:30pm (Saturday).

Mmmm... freshly processed green Pluma coffee! The TLF families are working hard to sort the good beans from the bad beans, so that we can have a delicious brew right here in Aotearoa New Zealand. All of the families are paid above the local rate for this work, including disabled family members. We believe pay equality is super important, regardless of ability or disability.

Help us create more equal work opportunities for more disabled people and their families by donating to The Lucy Foundation today!
