The Lucy Foundation work experience scheme is off to a great start and it’s all thanks to our first recruits – Jose Gabriel, Herminio and Juan and Andrea.
During harvest there were drying beds to be built, seeds to be planted and coffee beans to sort. Jose Gabriel, Herminio, Juan and Andrea have been working with TLF team once a week to learn new skills and at the same time advancing the coffee project.
Through these tasks the team have completed tactile tasks, worked as a team and become more independent.
It is a joy to see them learn new skills and then teach these new skills to others.
“Pepe (Jose Gabriel) loves being out on the field with Ryan and the guys, he seems to be independent out there and enjoys this time a lot,” says Pepe’s Mom Dona Gaby.
In our latest video, Jose Gabriel, Herminio and Juan are working together to build a wall in the ranchito.
